3 Awesome Attitude Adjusters

3 Awesome Attitude Adjusters

Attitude is not inborn but developed and nurtured. I have seen people who spent most of their energies developing and maintaining abhorrent attitudes for self-defeating and self-destructive behaviours.

I’ve also witnessed amazingly uplifting, world-class positive and upbeat people who nurture successful lives and lifestyles with their positivity and perpetual passion for life.

Here are 3 awesome attitude adjusters to help you achieve more by supporting your actions with mental fuel your success can feed upon.

Attitude Adjuster #1: Remember Peter Pan…remember your `Happy Thought`. Peter Pan could fly and teach children to fly by having them remember their happy thought. The one thing that makes their hearts sing and their spirits soar. This actually works.

Modern science has shown that thinking of negative experiences puts harmful chemicals into your system. Thinking of your favourite experiences fills your body with endorphins and other positive `juices` that alter your health, stamina and state of mind. Want a better attitude? Think of the best moments of your life and relive them mentally.

Attitude Adjuster #2:  Take a break. Not just any break. Some people take a break from their desk to get coffee and lament with co-workers about how much they have to do. NO! Take a real break. Step out of the office and walk briskly around the block. Physical action will get you out of your `stuck at your desk` syndrome and takes the same time with 10 times the refreshing effect.

Doing physical labour? Take a nap. Studies show a 20 minute nap can have the same effect on the body as a night`s sleep. Take a break from your usual `breaks` for a breakthrough attitude.

Attitude Adjuster #3: Pray. Spending a few moments communing with God can do wonders to alleviate anger, resentment, boredom, hopelessness, angst and frustration. Give all the negative emotions to the Lord and ask HIM to deal with them.

When ever I try to do it all myself, my attitude sours and I end up feeling like Iâm doing more than my fair share. Turning inward is the worst thing to do. Asking the Almighty to take over my pains in life frees me from them and allows me the mental space to say, `Thank you God.`That spirit of `thanksgiving` is sometimes just what I needed to adjust my overall attitude.

These are only 3 very simple tips yet they have power beyond measure if applied the right way and at the right time.
